Networking - Lunch - Round Table Marketing

In the bustling holiday season, you can make a meaningful contribution to a local non-profit with the gift of your talent! How? It's as easy as attending the inaugural AMA Michiana Holiday Give-back!

Instead of the usual speaker format, the chapter will be hosting up to five local non-profits, each with a specific marketing challenge. Over the round-table style luncheon, attendees will help with expertise, options and resources to overcome those non-profit marketing challenges. Giving back while learning!

This unique giving event will be interactive, fun and informative. Spend an hour with us over lunch - and be surprised by what you learn from other marketers and about yourself!

    Non-profits who are participating include:

    Camp Millhouse

We are here to build self-esteem, independence, and enrich the lives of persons with special needs through the unique outdoor activities and natural setting that Camp Millhouse provides.

Camp Millhouse was founded in 1937 and held at various locations until 1940 when the late Mr. & Mrs. Charles Millhouse donated eleven acres of wooded property in Greene Township of St. Joseph County, ten miles southwest of downtown South Bend, Indiana. Camp Millhouse has grown to its present size of 45 acres through the generosity and nurturing support of the Board of Directors and the surrounding community.

    Challenge: Continuous Brand Awareness

    La Casa de Amistad

We are a charitable organization that functions as a community center on the west side of South Bend. It was founded by Fr. John Phalen in October of 1973 as a youth outreach program in response to the many needs of area Hispanic teenagers. La Casa now offers varied programs in an effort to edify Hispanic youth and adults in development of leadership skills, increase knowledge and appreciation of their own culture, and develop stronger self-esteem, encouraging fuller participation as community members.

    Challenge: Targeted Messaging

    Real  Services

Real Services has the responsibility of planning, developing, implementing and administering a network of services that are of high standards, are known, available and used by older adults and low income households in north central Indiana (Elkhart, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Marshall and St. Joseph Counties).

The ultimate objective of REAL Services is to assist in establishing a community in which those we serve can maintain their independence to the maximum degree possible and find meaning and satisfaction throughout their lives.

    Challenge: Managing a Brand Portfolio

    South Bend Civic Theater

South Bend Civic Theatre (SBCT) was founded in 1957 by two University of Notre Dame graduates who believed community theatre should be an important part of this area's culture, and who also believed that living in our community were aspiring actors and actresses who needed to show and form their talents.

Since 1996, thousands of area youth have benefited from SBCT classes and camps, attended or participated in SBCT productions, compared to just a handful in years prior. And with the launch of the “Kids4Kids” program in 2009, thousands of K through 12 students have the chance to see live theatre through SBCT’s daytime school performances.

Challenge: Connecting with the Right Audience

    Youth Services Bureau

YSB is the only area agency focusing on youth ages 12-22 who are in crisis.

We connect youth to safety, provide crisis intervention, and walk with them toward a path of self-sufficiency and success.
